Who can become a Guide?
Guide ages are from 10-16 years. They undertake a varied programme and make most decisions about the programme of activities. They are helped with this by a series of publications called ‘Go For It' again the subjects are very varied from Party, Glamorise, Communications, Chocolate, Healthy Eating, Peace, the list is endless with new ones being produced all the time.
The Guides works in small groups called Patrols and learn new skills from the peers and adults. The emphasis is on Fun. Most units go on residential trips either camping or staying in houses and are often out and about on day trips.
